Congratulations to June Callwood Award Winner Alfred Michel

A Warmhearts volunteer since 2006, we know we can depend on Alfred to work night shifts during times of crisis and he’s proven time and again that he’s not afraid to take on those difficult cases. What an amazing difference he makes to those afraid to be alone, those who need someone to confide in, caregivers who need respite.

A highly respected individual in the community, we are proud to have him speak on our behalf through community awareness presentations. Being bilingual, he can reach a wider audience in our community.

Congratulations Alfred on receiving the June Callwood award!

Memorial Gatherings:

Memorial gatherings provide a comforting environment in which caregivers and family members can remember their loved one and express their feelings in a safe and supportive environment. As well, the experience can provide volunteers with an opportunity for self-reflection.

Memorial Gatherings are held every three months in the CNIB building boardroom at 303 York Street, Sudbury. They begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:30 pm. Light refreshments are served.

Dates for the 2011 Memorial Gatherings are:

Monday, September 26
Monday, November 28

Families are invited to bring an item or picture, a treasured memento of their loved one to the gathering. We look forward to seeing you there.
